Kodangal Mega Rythu Mela: Revanth Reddy to Open 3-Day Farmer Fair Nov 7
From drones to drip irrigation, a 150-stall fair in the Chief Minister's home turf aims to put new farming know-how directly in growers' hands.

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will inaugurate a three-day Mega Rythu Mela in his home constituency of Kodangal on November 7. The fair brings around 150 stalls offering a close look at modern farming methods, quality seeds, machinery and alternative crops, all pitched at helping farmers earn more.
Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao said on Wednesday that 26 government departments and affiliated bodies will take part from November 7 to 9. The list includes the agriculture and horticulture departments, Oilfed, PJTSAU, the animal husbandry department, WALAMTARI, CRIDA and Central government agencies.
Walk the grounds and you will find agricultural inputs, new-generation chemicals, farm machinery, drones and information on government schemes. This is a place to ask questions, not just collect pamphlets: technical sessions will put farmers face to face with agricultural scientists, experts and award-winning progressive farmers.
Those talks will focus on crop diversification, value-added products, market opportunities and sustainable farming. One special session will tackle El Nino, covering how it can affect agriculture, what precautions farmers can take and which alternative cultivation strategies are worth considering.
The Chief Minister will also hand out equipment and machinery, including custom hiring centres, pulse mills, oil extraction units, soil health cards, bio-resource input centres and drip irrigation systems. Day two shifts the spotlight to women farmers, their role in agriculture and allied sectors, and ways modern technology can lift their incomes.
Crowds are expected to build. About 7,500 farmers from Vikarabad and Narayanpet districts are likely on opening day, while around 50,000 from 10 neighbouring districts are expected on the final day, when Revanth Reddy will address the gathering. Tummala urged farmers across the state to attend and use the chance to meet scientists, industry representatives and technology institutions.
